Bed and Breakfasts

Cape Coral Bed and Breakfasts - two delightful and charming waterfront places to stay for boating, fishing, and kayaking.

Both B&B's are on the edge of Cape Coral and just before the bridge onto the island of Matlacha.

Matlacha is pronounced "mat-luh-shay" and is a Caloosa Indian name that means "water to the chin".

This little island is full of old Florida charm and has several art galleries, shops and restaurants.  If you like unique accommodations, tasty homemade breakfasts, and a personal touch, you will love either of these guest houses.

A Bayview

A Bayview, also known as the Inn on the Bay, has four large rooms with private baths, queen beds and queen sofas, TV, fridge, AC, continental breakfast, and a large deck to see the beautiful views of Matlacha Bay.

You can dock your boat for free from one of two fishing piers, canoes are available, and you will definitely want to kayak.

The water just sparkles during the day, and the sunsets are magnificent, it's a great place for a fishing vacation.

You can fish for snook, redfish, king mackerel, grouper, and further out for tarpon.

Shrimp is available for purchase fresh off local shrimp boats.

Watch for dolphins from the dock or the deck, and for manatees as they swim by daily to feed in the Gulf of Mexico, or watch the osprey nest right next to the back deck.

Sun and Moon

The second of our bed and breakfast motels is the Sun and Moon, which has five rooms decorated with different themes.

All rooms have private baths, cable TV, mini fridges and at least one big comfortable bed, porches or balconies, and continental breakfast is available all day. The Sun and Moon has pet friendly accommodations.

Relax by the waterfall pool or spa while you watch the manatees and dolphins. Bring your boat, there's room to park it or you can launch it from an adjacent boat launch.

You can rent kayaks and fishing equipment right there and have you heard of moonlight kayak fishing?!

Matlacha has a bridge known as the "fishingest bridge" in the world.

Boat charters, mini golf, golf, free tennis courts on Pine Island, and all the attractions of Cape Coral are nearby.

This historic fishing village is home to dolphins, manatees, jumping mullet fish, shore birds, and other wildlife. It has been called a kayaking hotspot by Adventure Kayaking magazine.

Do Florida right, enjoy the charm, and even if you don't fish, you will have a vacation you won't forget at one of our delightful bed and breakfasts.
