Morettis - Yay, they're back and in a new location with new menu and same great food and service!
Who doesn't love Italian food?
Not too many people, I would guess. Well, I love it, that's for sure.
And, I especially love a healthy Mediterranean-style diet with dishes made with olive oil, seafood, fresh ingredients, plenty of garlic, my favorite herb basil, and love ......... of course!
Morettis has been an institution in the Cape Coral area for many years with lots of fans.
I was so upset when they closed their previous location on the corner of SE 47th Terrace and Vincennes Blvd a few years ago.
Before that, they had been out on Matlacha in the location of what is now the Island Cafe on the Bay.
They are now located on Del Prado, south of Veterans Blvd, between Cornwallis Pkwy and SE 32nd Terrace.
I had heard about how good the restaurant's Lobster Ravioli was and decided to go give it a try.
I'm glad I did ........... it was delicious! After a salad and some bread, I received a large portion of round-shaped plump raviolis with chunks of lobster and swimming in a creamy sauce, topped with parmesan.
Although the decor seems a bit dated, the dining room is still very pleasant with a cozy light-colored yellow on the walls, linens on the tables, and artwork on throughout.
I goofed, I didn't take notes of their menu and can't find it online. If I remember correctly, they offer your basic Italian favorites along with many seafood dishes to choose from.
They are open for lunch from 11AM-2PM and for dinner from 4PM-10PM.
So ............ for one of the best Cape Coral Italian restaurants, go to Morettis!
