Point 57

Point 57 - Try Cape Coral's newest gastropub for fabulous food and handcrafted cocktails!

They are located on Del Prado Blvd where The Dog used to be, and the restaurant has been completely remodeled with a fresh new look.

Not only do I love the updated decor, but the food is absolutely delicious ........... they use fresh, local ingredients to create their dishes, which have been getting great reviews.

There's a casual elegance to the outdoor patio, indoor dining, and bar area that lends itself to either intimate dinners for two or evenings out with friends.  I like how they have booth seating as well as the typical tables and chairs.

When I went to have dinner, I was in the mood for something light so I ordered the Cioppino and it was amazing ........ it was loaded with shrimp, salmon, catfish, clams, and whatever the chef had on hand to put in the soup.

cioppino

It was topped with crusty slices of Italian bread.  I ordered more to mop up the last of the tasty soup ....... mmmmmmmmmm.

From the bar, you'll find a nice selection of wine, beer, and classic and hand-crafted cocktails.

For dessert, I got the Citrus Coconut Tart, a cheesecake with my favorite Florida flavors ....... awesomeness!

I saw a an entree on the menu that intrigued me enough to go back and try it ......... Sweet Tea-Brined and Smoked Chicken.

This dish is served with red potatoes, creme fraiche, panchetta, roasted garlic, and barbequed brussel sprouts.  It was very good, although I think I was expecting a more intense medley of flavors. Overall, if you love chicken this dish is definitely worth a try.

Get the restaurant's app to reserve a table and not have to wait in line.  They plan to start serving brunch soon.

Point57 is open Monday – Thursday from 4-9PM, Friday – Saturday from 4-10PM, and the Bar from 4PM until ........
