Captiva Real Estate features everything from cozy beach cottages to condos, beautiful homes, and luxurious mansions!
How about a home on Captiva Drive, also known as The Golden Mile?!
As you drive onto Captiva, gorgeous estates line both sides of the street .......... homes to the west enjoy views of the Gulf of Mexico, and homes to the east have bayside views of Roosevelt Channel.
It's not so easy to see many of these homes since they have lush landscaping and gated entrances.
But, further up Captiva Drive, the road curves towards the beach and you can get a better look at these homes which have views of the gulf from the front and of the bay from the back.
Then there are homes on or just a short walk to gulf beaches, or homes in bayside neighborhoods.
The other million dollar row is on Andy Rosse Lane ......... fabulous vacation homes are on both sides of the street with a short walk to the beach and all the restaurants and shops downtown.
I can't decide which one I like best ..... I like both the Mediterranean-style villas closer to downtown and the Old Florida style homes nearer to the beach.
Even though you may not be able to afford to buy a home on Captiva, you can rent a beautiful home for vacation!
You can also buy Captiva vacation homes, condos, villas, and timeshares at South Seas Island Resort.
So, how much do Captiva homes typically cost? The least expensive start at around $300,000 for a condo at South Seas Resort.
Most condos start at $500,00-$600,000. Homes on Captiva Drive average $5,000,000, and homes on Andy Rosse Lane average $2,000,000.
As I was making inquiries about Captiva real estate, the most expensive listing at the time was $18,000,000 ......... the annual taxes run over $100,000 for that property!
Roughly 50% of Captiva properties are for personal use, and 50% are investments.
And, about 50% of Captiva properties are owned by Americans, the other 50% are owned by Canadian, German, and British buyers.
