Captiva Rentals - For the vacation of a lifetime, stay at a beach home, condo, or villa on the most beautiful island in the world!
About half of Captiva's homes are available for vacation rentals.
You'll want to figure out if you want to be within walking distance to town and how many people will be staying?
Also consider ........do you want to be on the beach or would bayside be fine, do they allow pets, would you like access to a pool and/or spa, do you want new or charming, and how important is price for rental and possible added luxuries. Even if you're not close to town, you're within biking distance, and no more than a 2-mile drive.
Some of the most spectacular homes are at the beginning stretch of Captiva Drive, the road that takes you from Sanibel all the way to town.
There are also rentals in million dollar homes on Andy Rosse Lane, the main street in town.
Renting a home here is perfect because you have such close access to restaurants, shops, activities, and the beach.
But, if price is an issue, close to the main part of town is Sunset Captiva, a private community of beach cottages and bayfront homes with beach access, community pool, and tennis courts.
You can also rent vacation homes, condos, or villas at either bayside or gulfside at various price points at South Seas Island Resort.
You may want to consider the South Seas timeshares and rental programs.
With timeshares, you buy in weekly increments from a choice of condos, villas, and homes.
With rentals, you can invest in a rental unit for personal use each year and it rent out the rest of the time you're not there.
South Seas guarantees a certain number of rentals for you each year. Renters can opt to pay the resort fee to be able to use their many amenities ....... which I think is well worth it just for the use of their fabulous pools alone!
Another idea is to stay at the cottages or rooms at Jensens Marina or Tween Waters Inn, Jensens on the Gulf or Captiva Island Inn. Off-season, I paid between $99-$240/night for 3 of us at these places.
For a weekly rental in a home, Captiva vacation rentals go approximately from $900 off-season/$1100 in-season for a bayside cottage that sleeps 3, to a luxury home that goes for $7500 off-season/$12,000 in-season that sleeps 12, near beach, with pool.
There is a large selection of rentals in the $1500-$3000 range that typically sleep 6-8 people.
