Heatherwood Lakes
Heatherwood Lakes is one of the nicest of the Cape Coral gated communities and it's great for families!
It's located in the one of the most desirable areas in the Southwest part of the Cape, off of Veterans Blvd, between Chiquita and Surfside.
The community is in an area that is surrounded by quiet residential neighborhoods and is convenient to everywhere you need to go, since it's centrally situated.
Families with younger kids will appreciate that Trafalgar Middle and Elementary schools are close by. Heatherwood Lakes features single family homes that back on to 5 different lakes and most of them have waterviews.
Homes are 1 or 2 stories and have either 4 or 5 bedrooms ......... perfect for growing or large families!
Right in the middle of the community is a pool, cabana clubhouse, and playground where they also have meetings, activities, parties, and holiday events.
Some gated communities have more restrictive rules, but Heatherwoods is less restrictive, comparatively speaking.
We have friends who live there and they love it!
Whenever we go, we see kids all over the place, riding bikes, playing baseball, and running around having fun.
I've noticed that there are lots of very high speed bumps on all the streets and I can see why .......... kids are playing everywhere, including the street, so traffic needs to slow down.

Some people don't like to live where there are restrictions, but others love the community feel, added security, and amenities of these types of neighborhoods.
