Latte Da is the place to go on Captiva Island for the best coffee, ice cream, and other treats!
If you've never had Queenie's ice cream ...... then you're missing out!
According to Queenie, in warm climates you need less fat in the ice cream which allows the flavors to really come through. Her ice cream is also less sugary which also intensifies the flavor.
Queenie makes homemade ice cream with natural and local ingredients such as key limes, mangoes, bananas, and coconuts ....... along with all your favorite flavors .......... butter pecan, vanilla, chocolate, mint chocolate chip, coffee, strawberry, cookies and cream, and more. Seasonal flavors include cinnamon, pumpkin pie, and candy cane.
She makes her delectable ice cream in Fort Myers, and distributes it to several specialty shops in Southwest Florida, including LatteDa.
I usually get the toasted coconut and my daughter, Nicole, got her favorite, Black Raspberry Chip ........ mmm mmm good!
As for the coffee, they serve Seattle's Best, perfect for Captiva's best!
The ice cream and coffee shop is affiliated with the Captiva Island Inn, RC Otters, Key Lime Bistro, and Cantina Captiva, and you can buy logo tee shirts from all of them right at LatteDa ......... plus puzzles, hats, mugs, cards, gifts, and souvenirs.
LatteDa is on Andy Rosse Lane, next to RC Otters and in the back part of Captiva Island Inn.
You
can sit outside at tables in front of the shop and listen to the music
coming from RC Otters, another Captiva restaurant. They are open daily from 8AM-9PM.
