Sunshine Seafood Cafe - Enjoy fine dining and fine wines at this award-winning Captiva restaurant.
Think of this cafe if you want to take that special someone out for a romantic dinner for 2.
But don't let that keep you away if you're vacationing with your family and want to bring the kids ........ children are welcome at Sunshine too!
Known as Captiva's Best Kept Secret, this cafe and wine bar reminds me of a European neighborhood bistro that's popular with the locals. They are open daily and serve lunch and dinner. Sit outside on the restaurant's spacious and lovely front porch.
You'll be comfortable even on a hot day because they have several fans blowing cooling breezes.
Or, for a more intimate setting, sit inside where booths and tables afford you a view of some of the happenings in the kitchen.
I haven't been there for dinner yet, but I hear the paella is excellent, as well as their other dishes.
We went for lunch and I had a delicious Seafood Croissant Sandwich loaded with fresh lump crab and shrimp.
Service was attentive and the food was very good. I would love to go back for dinner sometime!
For dinner, the cafe serves seafood, filet mignon, lamb, pork, and chicken with a French and a tropical flair.
As for lunch, they serve soups, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and seafood.
Dinner entrees run from $22-34, and lunch runs from $7-15. Reservations are suggested and they are open daily from 11:30AM-9PM.
Located on Andy Rosse Lane, its next door to RC Otters.
